Evacuation drill in Arpi

On 1 April, 2015 within the frame of the project "Supporting Community Resilience in the South Caucasus" financed by the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid Department and OXFAM, "Support to Communities" BNGO, in collaboration with "Fighting Against Violation of Law" NGO, Regional Rescue Department and Disaster Response Community Groups organized events on "Earthquake and Fire" in the school of Arpi community of Vayots Dzor marz. Following the evacuation drills contests on "Disaster Risk Reduction" took place during the events. The contests with involvement of young people from 4 neighboring communities, were organized through Yeghegnadzor and Vayq Civic Centres' support. At the end of the event based on jury's decision award certificates were given to the contest winners "Arpi" and "Areni" schools and certificates for participation to "Agarakadzor" and "Getap" schools respectively. The contest participants also were awarded with books with epigraph "Thousand and one questions and answers". Representatives of Oxfam, "Armenian Red Cross Society", DRR National Platform and community municipality representatives also participated at the events.

On 26 November and 02 December, 2014 within the frame of the project "Supporting Community Resilience in the South Caucasus" financed by the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid Department, OXFAM and "Support to Communities" BNGO, in collaboration with Regional Rescue Department and Disaster Response Community Groups organized events on "Earthquake and Fire" in the schools of Agarakadzor and Getap communities of Vayots Dzor marz. Following the evacuation drills contests on "Disaster Risk Reduction" took place during the events. The contests- with involvement of young people from 5 neighboring communities were organized through Yeghegnadzor and Vayq Civic Centres' support.At the end of the event awards were given to the contest participants- based on jury's decision. Representatives of Oxfam, "Fighting Against Violation of Law", "Bridge of Hope" NGOs, DRR National Platform and community municipality also participated at the events.
